Steve Shaw brought his trike to me last year but we ran out of time to get the artwork completed on this project so it came back to me this year so I could apply all the artwork you see in these photos. I was given pretty much a free reign but Steve suggested a Viking theme, which is what I've kept to.

There's a lot of artwork on this machine. Probaby more than any other project I've worked on. It's not just the size of it but the compexity of some of the pieces. I dug out reference material from the library and the Internet and put it all together starting with the large engine cowl. Using a combination of airbrushing and handpainting it has finally come together and the trike is now on the road.

Thanks to Flameworks at Bridlington who did all of the clearcoating for me, especially Simon who managed to fit it in despite being rushed off his feet. This was our first project as a joint venture and I hope it's the first of many.

Steve built everything on the trike himself using the engine from an MG-F to power it so it's a lot more than your average off-the-shelf custom machine. He's hoping to take his trike to a lot of events over the summer so hopefully it'll be appearing at one near you.
