Customer Robert actually works at the bank I have my account with and we arranged this job for him during my various visits in there.

Robert restores old Volkswagen Beetles and has a website at www.thevolksmeister.com which shows what he does in more detail.

I don't ordinarily paint cars as my current premises are too small. As Robert was able to take off the engine cowl and bring it in to me separate I could bring it into my workroom and apply the Flinstones cartoon and lettering straight onto the red base that he had already applied.

Once that was done the cowl went back to Robert for him to apply the clearcoat himself and the results look great.

Sometimes a simple, small design can be as effective as a large complex mural and I think that's the case here.
