This was one of the very first petrol tanks that I painted. The customer was a postman called Daryl from Uckfield, who was a good mate when I lived in Brighton and encouraged a lot of his friends to have leather garments painted by me as well. I also painted the Saxon Helmet Waistcoat for him that can be seen in Leather Art Collection 3.
I can't remember who did the clearcoating on this petrol tank but it looks good on the photos. It certainly wasn't me as I was working out of my flat at the time and if I'd had a go at doing it myself I probably wouldn't be here telling you about it now!!
