The Victory Hammer is an American V Twin not seen too much on British roads, but when this one hits the streets it'll hopefully set a new trend.

It's a very good looking bike and a head turner in its own right.

I was asked by owner Alex to paint the artwork from the original 'War of the Worlds' album by Jeff Wayne, now a stage show which has been reflected in the lettering.

I'm very happy with how this project has come out. The tank artwork works particularly well with the shape that it has been painted onto.

The bike is called "Thunder Child", the name of the warship featured in the tank artwork. In the story, the Thunder Child sacrifices itself to allow a steamer full of refugees to get away from marauding tripods.

The portrait on the right-hand side panel is of Richard Burton, who narrated the story on the original album.

Thanks to Dave at Road Ahead in Hull (01482 222424) who arranged for the stripping, storage and re-assembly of the bike whilst I did the paintwork.
